Why Chicken Little is an Underrated Classic: Part 1 of Drunk Blythe Series

Chicken Little came out in 2005 and has been consistently underrated since then. It is by far the most memorable film of its era, and it takes the folktale source material and makes it deep and relatable. Let me list the reasons why it's such an excellent film.

(1) Fish: Fish is a core part of this movie's comedy. He doesn't speak other than blubs, but every moment on screen is memorable and hilarious. From his newspaper King Kong bit to his face paint at the baseball scene, all of his comedic bits add so much levity to the scenes he's in.

(2) Chicken Little: He's an instantly compelling protagonist. He's an underdog, looked down on by the world. He is himself while still wanting desperately to be liked, which is very relatable. He struggles with the loss of his mother and the distance of his father. He is good at baseball. I like him very much. He is what I am in my mind's eye.

(3) The Lost Child: cutest and best part of this movie. A sweet little guy. Makes me cry every time. A varying number of eyes. Makes little noises instead of speaking. I wish I had a plush of him. I also like the way he interacts with other characters.

(4) The Antagonist: You may think the antagonist of the film is Foxy Loxy, the bully who's good at baseball, but no!!!! SHe's only a tertiary antaginst according to Google. The real antagonist is Buck "Ace" Cluck. Maybe that sounds unfair since he lost wife, but he is mean to his son. He is considered one of the worst dads in film history but he learns and improves after interacting with...

(5) Melvin: he is the foil to Buck and like the best dad ever. He accepts his son, and fiercely looks to find and protect his son when he gets lost. He loves his son and teaches Buck how to be a real father.

(6) Best Trio in Film: accompanying CHicken Little are his best friends, Runt of the Litter and Abby Mallard. They are always encouraging Chicken Little to be himself. ALso Abby has crush on Chickem Little and they become a great couple because they love and support each other. He doesn't care shes the Ugly Duckling because its true love. Also their karaoke scene goes through my mind constantly.

(7) The soundtrack is so good
